Holton le Clay Federation SEND vision and ethos
Vision Statement
We are committed to creating an inclusive learning community where everyone, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), are valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
We strive to build a nurturing environment in which every one can thrive, reach their goals, and make a positive contribution.
Our aim is to establish a positive, purposeful learning environment where expectations and aspirations are high. We are dedicated to offering challenge and motivation, fostering the development of learning behaviours, ensuring that all pupils experience success and enjoyment throughout their educational journey.
Ethos Statement
At the heart of Holton le Clay federation is a commitment to fostering meaningful relationships. We are dedicated to being relationship-focused, recognising that strong connections enable effective learning.
Our approach embodies curiosity rather than frustration; we endeavour to understand the underlying motivations of behaviour, seeing it as a form of communication.
By consistently asking 'why' and looking beyond the behaviour, we are able to provide tailored support. We prioritise connection before correction, believing that every moment and interaction within the learning environment serves as an intervention. Together, we cultivate a nurturing atmosphere that empowers every learner.

All members of our school community strive to be the best that we can be -we are ready, respectful and safe.

In our school, curiosity thrives as both staff and pupils continually ask the vital question: "Why?"
At Holton le Clay Federation, we are dedicated to fostering a community built upon the principles of readiness, respect, and safety, enabling us to strive for excellence. We endeavour to create a respectful atmosphere where we honour ourselves, each other, and the world around us. By nurturing this core value, we ensure that all individuals experience a profound sense of safety and belonging.
We promote regulation and readiness, empowering all to engage purposefully in their tasks with a growth mindset. Every individual is encouraged to cultivate a deeper understanding, striving not only to comprehend their own perspectives but also those of others. Hard work forms the cornerstone of our ethos, and we approach every task with unwavering commitment to give our very best.
Together, we cultivate an environment where belief in our potential inspires us to become the best versions of ourselves and positively contribute to our community.
